The National Institute of Design, NID is considered to be one of the most accomplished institutes in the field of design-related education and research. Candidates with a flair for design apply for NID colleges because it has the potential of giving a great kick start to the student’s career. NID has the best three institutes in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bangalore.

The other NID colleges are NID Jorhat (Assam)NID Kurukshetra (Haryana), NID Bhopal, and NID Vijayawada(Andhra Pradesh). The student needs to clear the NID entrance exam to get admission to one of the colleges. There are other exams like CEED, SEED, NIFT which provide an undergraduate program for students after 12th in Designing.

Eligibility Criteria got UG courses:

The candidate should have successfully passed a 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of five subjects from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination or National Open School or Any Public School/Board Examination in India or foreign countries.

A student has to compete for exams such as NID, CEED, SEED, NIFT which comprises of General Ability Test (GAT), Creativity Ability Test (CAT), and Designing Aptitude Test (DAT). These exams are in Online mode + Paper-pencil mode. Some institutes prefer taking personal interviews.

d. Communication Design – Graphic Design, Animation Design, Film and Video Communication, Exhibition Design, Photography Design.
